Okay Okay Already!
Despite popular belief....no I have NOT fallen off the face of the planet!
I've simply been busy with trying to contend with all these curve balls that life seems to want to throw at me these days. Alright, let's just be honest about it.....it's more like pulled the rug out from beneath me, but I'm sure some of you can more than empathize with my plight. Times are hard, but life is certainly good though. All I have to do be reminded of that fact is wake up every morning, look at my family, and know that God shines down his blessings on us every day. It may not come in the form we WANT it, but nonetheless its there just the same. Now go find your treasures, they won't be far :)
Otherwise, I've poured most of my attention and time into helping my daughter develop her musical career and it won't be long before she starts to bear the fruits of her hard work this past year. Her debut CD will be released this summer!! Why, she even let little ole me write a song for her project and pitch in with some background vocals.....what do you call that, oh yeah, throwing a dog a bone! HA! I'm so proud of not only how talented Emily is, but also of the young lady she has become.
Tuesday, April 20th, 2010 7:47 AM CDT
Well my 15 year old daughter never ceases to amaze me! Today she'll be going to do some Disney demo work in Atlanta. Just recently she had the privilege to open for Confederate Railroad, and here is the link to watch her performing live. Enjoy!

Meridian's Radio Pioneer and Country Music Enthusiast Passes Away
Carl Fitzgerald was one of the most influential people in helping me determine to pursue a musical career. We were first introduced to one another by my Uncle Billy Thomely at one of Meridian's TISBA meetings. (The International Singing Brakemen's Association) This was a group of musicians, who were dedicated to the preservation of Jimmie Rodgers music and to that of classic country music as well..........this was truly Carl's element. The man was like a walking Britannica of knowledge when it came to country music's history/roots/songwriters......well you name it, he knew it. To say the least I should have been intimidated by this, but instead I found him taking me under his wing all the while leading me to the front of the crowd. He graciously offered to be my accompaniment and asked what song would I be singing. At that particular moment I couldn't think of anything except for a wonderful old gospel hymn "In The Garden". Being the greenhorn I was he had to take a moment to figure out what key I did it in too. That experience will be forever etched into my memory and my heart. As small as this may seem to others, it was a defining moment for me and for a friendship that would blossom between us and our families. There are so many more experiences that were shared throughout the following years, but this one, this will be the one I'll always treasure the most. God bless you Carl...........you will be missed.

Emily White wins the Nooze 9th regional talent competition
OMG! My 14 year old daughter, Emily, competed last night and WON a local talent contest. Former winners include the likes of Sonia Leigh, who opens regularly for the Zach Brown Band. The finals will be held in February where the 2009 winners will compete for a $1000 prize and an opportunity to meet some phenomenal musicians. The Nooze Radio station which promotes north Georgia indie artists is hosting the contest........folks if you want to enjoy an evening of eclectic musical talent then you need to come on out and attend this wonderful event!

Dillard House Christmas
Last night was such a treat.......I almost felt as though I should've been the one to pay for the privilege of performing for some of Georgia's elected officials! There couldn't have been a nicer group of people or a more festive atmosphere in which to celebrate with. A crowd of well over 200+ showed up to recognize their fellow workers' accomplishments throughout this past year as well as take in a wonderful meal that was hosted by the Dillard House. Folks, if you haven't had a chance to see the Dillard House during Christmas time, you need to. Everything was breathtakingly decorated, and their staff were so accommodating. It was a wonderful night and I'm so thankful that I was afforded the opportunity to have been in such great company.
P.S. My daughter stole the show AGAIN......I think she managed to steal some hearts in the process. LOL

Project is Complete
Well it's taken me a wee bit longer than I had originally anticipated to complete this last labor of love............but I believe that it'll be worth the wait. My new CD "Invisible" has a collection of songs that will appeal to a variety of people. Once again I opted to include just a few covers such as "Let's Chase Each Other" by Merle Haggard, "Angel from Montgomery" by John Prine, "Georgia" and I even did a Jimmie Rodgers tune "Any Ole Time" as a tribute to my hometown Meridian, MS. People not only seem to appreciate but are also drawn to an indie artist's CD when they recognize one of the songs. I certainly hope that everyone will enjoy my rendition of these classics.
This project also includes some great original material which ranges from a sassy somebody-done-somebody-wrong-song titled "I Want You Back", to aching country ballads like "What's Left Of Your Memory". All keeping true to that traditional country style.
I want to send out a special thanks to Greg Humphrey for helping me produce this album and holding my hand through the whole process. I feel especially honored that I was allowed to record material by singer/songwriter Crystal Shawanda, thanks girl! Also, I want to thank all of the musicians who put in the time and effort to make this happen. It simply wouldn't have turned out as great as it did without Gary Morse on the steel/dobro, Anita Hill drums/vocals, Eugene Moulds lead/acoustic guitar, Kari on the fiddle/vocals, Billy Nobles piano/keys, Greg Humphrey on bass, and our patient sound engineer Jack Irwin! You all were wonderful!
"Invisible" will be ready in September for purchase and I can promise that you won't be disappointed. Quite honestly, I surprised myself on this!
IN ADDITION: My daughter, Emily, also finished her demo at the same time. As a bonus "No Boys Allowed" will also be available in September. This girl can sing, write, perform, play guitar........I couldn't be more proud. Stay tuned, she's a force to be reckoned with.

Recording Again Friends!
I start on a new project on the 28th of this month! Some of you guys have expressed a desire to see a more eclectic style of music.............well, I am going to stick to my traditional roots, but I do have a couple of surprises that I intend to put on this CD that might make you happy though!
I'm going to try to have this out there in Europe by the end of February! Hope you enjoy it!
Sunday, November 16th, 2008 7:07 AM CST
I can't believe that the end of the year is upon us! I just finished wrapping up the Patsy Cline Tribute show in Helen, and now I'm beginning to record again. It's been quite some time since I've been in the studio, but I'm really looking forward to it. I know alot of my fans out there in Europe have been hollering for a new CD, so hold on........it's a coming! As I stated before, my 13 year old daughter will be coming along to record a couple of tracks as well and she is so excited about being involved in the whole process and seeing the ins and outs of Music City. Ya'll wish her well!
I certainly hope all of you have a Happy Thanksgiving, remember to count your blessings.......we all have them.
Wednesday, September 10th, 2008 6:28 PM CDT
Well folks, life happens and I've had alot of obstacles to overcome this past year before I could get back to the recording studio and work on my new project. I'll also have the pleasure of having my 13 year old daughter Emily co-star on a couple of tracks with me. Making memories.........that's what life is all about, that and making music as well! HA
I look to try to release in February 2009! Watch out!
Sunday, August 24th, 2008 8:47 PM CDT
Well, we have a busy couple of months ahead of us, so check out the concert events that will be going on.
By popular demand, I'll once again be performing the Patsy Cline Tribute show every Friday evening during Helen's Oktoberfest! There will be a great ensemble of musicians playing some of the greatest Patsy Cline hits as well as some wonderful instrumental country standards. Light refreshments will be served during intermission, so come and enjoy an evening of music, fun, and fellowship!
I'll also be one of the musical groups performing during our community sponsored event "Clermont Days". It will be great to give back to a community that does so much for everyone who resides here. This will be my first experience getting out and meeting local folks & neighbors during a showcase of this nature. Everyone one in my family is looking forward to this!
Speaking of community events, I'll also be returning to my native state Mississippi to perform in Quitman at the Wildlife Forestry Festival held at Archusa Park. There's usually a classic car exhibit, children's rides, arts & craft booths, beaucoup food, archery contests, vendors galore, etc. I simply cannot wait to see some of those familiar faces that I miss so dearly........as well as partake of some of that traditional "Chicken on a Stick" HA HA Those of you out there, KNOW what I'm talking about!
So come on out to one of these 3 great events where there'll be clean family fun and entertainment to enjoy.

THANK YOU GAINESVILLE TIMES
I had the privilege to interview with Jessica Jordan from the Gainesville Times in reference to my musical career, and the article exceeded my expectations! Thank you so much for the positive publicity and the accolades of praise.........it's so nice to receive an atta-girl! If you want to view the article for yourselves go to http://www.gainesvilletimes.com/news/article/5899
, date May 27th, 2008.

I'm sending out a great big kiss for all of you who put mom in your prayers. We found out that the cancer had spread to her liver, but after receiving 6 rounds of chemotherapy, her 9 tumors shrunk by almost 1/2! Time is such a precious gift and we're so thankful to each and every one of you who put her on your church prayer list. God bless ya'll!

MLT Gala Awards
I'm once again returning to my hometown, Meridian, MS, on May 24th to take part in Meridian Little Theatre's 75th Gala Awards Ceremony. I was asked by director, Jimmy Pigford, to sing as well as give out awards. It'll be great seeing everyone again, and on Memorial Day Weekend to boot! Hey, anybody out there know where I can crash a bar-b-que?
Tuesday, May 20th, 2008 8:20 PM CDT
After wrapping up the production "Always....Patsy Cline" this past February, I found out that we had a front page review in The Meridian Star stating, "Angela White brings Patsy to life - vocals, persona, and personality. Close your eyes and you'd swear Cline herself was singing Walkin' After Midnight, Back in Baby's Arms, Sweet Dreams, Crazy, and nearly 30 other Cline standards. White is more than worthy to tackle the richness of Patsy Cline."
All I can say to that is, WOW! Thanks for the kind words, and I cannot think of a higher compliment to paid than to be compared to a legend. If you want to read the review yourself go to http://www.meridianstar.com/archivesearch/local_story_054231810.html
, date Feb. 23, 2008.
I'll once again be portraying Patsy Cline in Eureka Springs, Arkansas on June 21st in a Nashville Legends Production. Stay tuned folks!

PRAYER WARRIOR NEEDED
Alright everyone, I'm usually an upbeat type of gal, you know the kind that always looks to the sunny side of the street, but I need some of you out there to do me a gigantic favor. My mom just had surgery yesterday to remove a large cancerous growth, and I would deeply appreciate you putting her in your prayers. I'm a true believer that there is power in prayers, so send some of those "good vibrations" this way! All good deeds are returned 10 fold..............that's what I was raised to know and practice.
God Bless Ya'll
Friday, January 25th, 2008 6:47 AM CST
Well, I've started practices for the "Always....Patsy Cline" production at the Meridian Little Theatre, and let me tell ya folks it's as if we just put on the play yesterday instead of 8 years ago. I guess when you enjoy what you're doing, time really doesn't mean anything at all.
I want to send out a great big ole thanks to Lisa & Lee at 93.5 and Sharky & Angie at 97.1 for giving me a chance to promote the play on air. Otherwise, it was like sitting around the table and chewing the fat with old friends.......everybody made me feel right at home. THANKS!
Wednesday, December 12th, 2007 3:17 PM CST
Okay, I can now officially announce that I will be returning to my hometown and teaming up with my former partner-in-crime, Sidney Covington, to do a revival of the "Always...Patsy Cline" show. The production will be at the Meridian Little Theatre, and will run from February 20th-27th! When Jimmy Pigford, MLT's director, asked me to come back to do the show........I didn't have to think twice about coming home to once again serve a community who always made me feel so very special. The pleasure will be all MINE! Ya'll come on out!
Tuesday, November 27th, 2007 11:04 AM CST
A Word of Thanks
I'd like to thank everyone for all of your support and welcomed words of encouragement through the years. My family, friends, and fans have been my saving grace and there simply aren't enough words to express my gratitude for allowing me the pleasure of being part of your lives...........thank you.

Oh, I know a secret about something that's right around the bend............and you know a secret ain't worth having unless you share it with someone!
Nope, I can't let the cat out of the bag yet........but it has to do with my home town, Meridian, MS. Stay tuned
On another note, I'll be in the studio once again this coming winter to record another album! Yep, I know it's been a while, but life happened and a girl can only do so much ya know. Anywho, I look forward to working on this new project with some of my old friends from Nashville. C-you guys soon!

I'm so excited to be a part of this new show that's being put together for Helen, Ga's OKTOBER FEST!!! This Bavarian Village knows how to have fun during this month long event. Folks come from miles around for not only the festivities but to also enjoy the scenic changing of the seasons. Saturday, October 21st, 2006 1:33 PM CDT
Mississippi Belle's now a Georgia Peach!
Yep, I've moved to North Georgia.........and I've found the people are just as warm and friendly here as they are back home. Now that it's Fall here, the scenery in these Blue Ridge Mountains are absolutely breathtaking. There's festival after festival this time of year, with no shortage of things to do, and Bluegrass to listen to!
This weekend The Grand Ole Opry is celebrating it's 81st birthday! There's alot of activity going on in recognition of this wonderful event. Come to Nashville to pay tribute to the Mother Church of country music, and all the country stars that make it shine!
Monday, August 7th, 2006 10:14 PM CDT
Dahlonega Really is a Goldmine!
If you're a musician living around this area of North Georgia, then you really would strike it rich in the little town of Dahlonega. It would seem there is a musical venue in every cafe' and restaurant here. I can guarantee, there's something here for everybody to enjoy.
Wednesday, July 5th, 2006 8:55 PM CDT
I want to express a great big THANKS to all those 4,000+ folks that showed up for the Liberty Day Celebration in Columbiana. You guys were really great and you made me & my band feel right at home, especially those Coffee Shop Carousers......you know who you are! The fireworks were absolutely spectacular, and I'd like to thank the stage and lighting crew........they always had a smile on their face (a rarity indeed). Maybe we'll see you again next time around.............
Saturday, January 28th, 2006 6:49 PM CST
I've been asked so many times when I'm going to put out another CD. Well folks, we're gearing up to do just that and I can't wait to get this new product out to all of you. Don't worry, I'm sticking to my country roots, but after completing my country CD I'll get started on a gospel one as well. I'll be giving more info out later, but for right now...........I don't want to jinx the project by letting too many cats out of the bag, but I can promise it's going to be an impressive ensemble involved.
Thank you so much for your continued support..............c'ya soon!
Sunday, January 8th, 2006 11:08 PM CST
I certainly hope everyone out there had a wonderful and safe New Year. Instead of being out on the road performing, I opted to stay home with the family and do those traditional things like trying to outdo your neighbors in shooting off fireworks, setting the pasture on fire in the process of doing so, watching Dick Clarks' countdown in The Big Apple, kissing your honey at midnight and having one nip too many. Oh, and making those ridiculous New Year Resolutions in which I never seem to be able to keep (for any great length of time). How 'bout you folks? Adhering to the time honored southern tradition, we had our black-eyed peas and turnip greens to insure that we had luck and money for the coming year. How I do love the South and all our superstitions, it makes life so much more interesting. God bless ya!
Wednesday, December 7th, 2005 5:55 AM CST
Thanksgiving was a very busy time for us, as I'm sure it was for all you guys out there! I pretty much stayed out in the woods hunting, but as we all know, it was unseasonably warm so my hunt was fruitless. Oh well, maybe next time.
We're having a Christamas Party at The Coffee Shop in Columbiana, AL. If you want to hang out with some great folks, I encourage you to come on out. There will be food, fun, and entertainment..........so bring your good cheer and come caroling with us!
Thursday, November 10th, 2005 11:00 AM CST
Okay, Okay, Okay! I've been neglecting my duty to keep you guys informed as to what's happening. I've recently relocated, but now that my world isn't turned upside-down anymore I give ya'll my word I won't be out of touch again.
I'm having some great guys come down from Nashville and put on a free concert for the good citizens of Columbiana. These folks have played with Nashville's elite Opry crowd and I feel mighty proud to be able to bring these caliber of musicians in to entertain. This community service is brought to Columbiana by some of the downtown merchants, but primarily to a fellow named Ferrell who runs The Coffee Shop. I encourage you guys to come on out, bring a chair, possibly a blanket, and enjoy the show.
Sunday, June 19th, 2005 7:51 PM CDT
Friday kicked off the Mississippi State Games and I was so honored to have been asked to sing our national anthem. We had a great crowd of over 5,000 athletes, not including those supporters in the stand! I tip my hat to our Naval Base for doing the flyover at the end of the song, and to the fellow who was coordinating the whole she-bang! Thanks everyone, it was a blast...........howdy to my Olympian friends!
Sunday, June 19th, 2005 7:47 PM CDT
Well another Fanfare has come and gone..........and I can't begin to express how great it was to meet some fans, especially ones from overseas! I want to send out a special thanks to Gary Morse and Dierks Bentley for inviting me to the party after the riverside concert.....it was short notice and I appreciate it. Also thanks to John Taylor at Tootsie's for all his support and for believing in me. I look forward to seeing all of you folks next year at this action packed event!
Thursday, May 26th, 2005 6:40 AM CDT
We're currently celebrating the Jimmie Rodgers Festival here in Meridian, MS. The week long event has brought in some great musicians from all over the world. I had the privelege to perform this past Monday night to a wonderful crowd who made me feel right at home. If you haven't ever been to the festival, I encourage you to do so.........between the hospitality, great food, good music, and the family friendly atmosphere YOU CAN'T GO WRONG!
Monday, May 16th, 2005 2:46 PM CDT
My version of Rocky Top is now the 3rd most played song on the European charts, and Sweet Dreams came in at #58. I want to thank all those DJ's over there for giving my music a spin, and I look forward to seeing ya'll soon!
Tuesday, May 10th, 2005 11:10 PM CDT
Here we go again...............I've been making my rounds and I'm stopping off again at The World Famous Tootsie's Orchid Lounge this weekend. I'll be performing upstairs from 4 to 6 p.m. and am looking forward to it soooooo much.
The Jimmie Rodgers celebration put on by TISBA (The International Singing Brakemans Association) is right around the corner and I look forward to paying tribute to the man that made it all happen! I've got a great group of musicians from Nashville coming to back me up and these fellows have played with the likes of Merle Haggard, Johnny Paycheck, Vern Gosden, etc. If you're in or around Meridian, MS you oughta come on by and give it a listen.........there will be artists from all over the nation performing and I can guarantee the folks will make you feel right at home.

Ok you camping fanatics...........we're going to be hitting the road again in July to perform at the Grand National Winnebago Rally. Last year was so much fun! Friday, February 25th, 2005 5:59 AM CST
I want to invite all you folks from Alabama to come out to the University of West Alabama on March 25th for the PBS taping that'll be going on. There'll be entertainers from all genres of music participating, so there's something for everyone to enjoy.
I'm also honored to have been asked to sing the National Anthem at the Mississippi State Games this year where there expected to be over 10,000 people in attendance. What a privilege!
Monday, January 31st, 2005 6:38 AM CST
I hope that everyone's holiday season was as great as mine. I took a little time off and spent it with my family and friends.........besides that's what the holidays are really about.
Deer hunting season is officially over here in Mississippi. It was one of my more successful seasons because I landed my first rack buck! I shot a couple of does, but my 6 point was the definetely the highlight. What a thrill!
Once again, I had the privelege of performing with the legendary George Cummings, Dr. Hook. We had an old fashion pickin' & grinnin' session together........folks, the man is still one of the best talents out there and is as down to earth as you can get.
Thanks to Comstock Records my product is being released overseas in the European market, so I look forward to hearing from our international radio friends and listeners.
Well, I'm getting back on track and look forward to performing again at Tootsie's, look at my show dates for more future performances. If you can't show up then tune in soon because on March 25th PBS is taping a program that I've been invited to be a part of. It'll air at another date that I'll be sure to post on my website. Thanks for logging in and please drop a line or two in my guestbook.........and I'll be sure to get right back in touch with you! Later.........
Tuesday, November 23rd, 2004 9:39 PM CST

The host that night will be Ray Pillow and it will feature the Grand Ole Opry Stage Band, which happens to be who will be playing for me Saturday night! Words cannot express the amount of gratitude I have for David McCormick by bestowing such a privilege to me. Tune in folks and give it a listen! You can go to www.wsmam.com
and listen live on the internet.

Tootsie's just had Kris Kristopherson be the first inductee to the Walk of Fame they are creating to honor the great artists and songwriters that are part of Tootsie's history. There was a private press party that covered the event and I'd like to thank John Taylor for asking me to be a part of it. What an honor it was to be able to meet a legend in country music!
Monday, October 11th, 2004 7:54 PM CDT
Alright everyone.........I want to invite you to check out www.angrycountry.com

TISBA (The International Singing Brakeman's Association) has successfully concluded Jimmie Rodgers 107th Birthday Celebration. It was an honor to kick off the program and also to meet musicians who traveled from across the country to be a part of the festivities. We must never forget to pay tribute to the man who was so influential in creating that unique style of music we call country music. If you want to be part of next year's line-up just go to my homepage and click the TISBA link.........I guarantee that these people will welcome traditional country artists as if you were family (they also feed you REAL good)! HA! Once again, thanks for the privilege!

Monday, June 28th, 2004 8:36 PM CDT
Fanfair has come and gone, but it won't be forgotten! I had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people from all walks of life during CMA Fest 2004. There were folks I met from St. Helena Islands, Japan, Australia, Belgium,...........the list goes on and on.
There were so many experiences at Fanfair that I'd love to share, but by far the most interesting one was being flagged down on the streets of Broadway by a L.A. executive with Oprah Winfrey's Oxygen Network. Turns out they're doing some sort of screening for a new reality TV show which deals with the empowerment of women.........interesting, huh? This southern gal could definetely have fun with that, but I believe my interview might have been a little on the conservative side for their liking. Oh well, life sure presents some unexpected twists and turns every now & then. HA!
Thursday, June 3rd, 2004 10:45 AM CDT
HEY EVERYBODY...stayed tuned for some updates to the website, we're having some new pics added and some new show dates just around the bend. The Jimmie Rodgers Festival was a week long's worth of great music & entertainment and I feel honored to have been included. Thanks to everyone at TISBA for all your support.
Hats off to Gary Morse for giving me the red carpet treatment in Jackson, MS at the Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban, and Dierks Bentley concert. It was such a pleasure to get to hang out with you guys and see how it all comes together backstage. Just wanted to let everyone know that my label Tootsie's Records will be participating in CRS week in Nashville (Country Radio Seminar) on March 3-5th. They've asked that I be there to be able to meet, greet, and entertain the radio personalities that are coming into town! It's an awesome opportunity to spread my music across the country. Wish me luck!

Today I had quite the surprise. The Board of Supervisors of Clarke County passed a resolution presenting me with a proclamation in recognition for my personal achievements in the field of music and my contributions to Clarke County. It was truly one of the few times in my life where I was speechless, because it touched me to know that these people believed enough in me to honor me in such a way. I will continue as I always have to give my time & talents to benefit my community........and not because of this award but out of love for the great people of this county. Once again, thank you for your support and God Bless Ya'll
p.s. I don't know how everyone kept this a secret for so long, but this ole gal LOVES surprises!
